1000characters

In the fall of 2017, I started a new job and a new sketchbook. Pages were filled quickly and a personal art adventure began. When the goal of 500 characters became in sight, I upped it to 1000 just for the fun of it. 1000characters sounded cooler anyway. I combined my degrees in Linguistics and Art to create a new approach to my craft. I made up a language system with its own rules and structures for each character.

1000characters is the love child of theoretical linguistics and an unbridled imagination.
